The Hoppers lost a hard fought battle to the Dubois County Bombers with a final score of 2-1. The Hoppers managed to hold off the Bombers until the bottom of the 8th, when the Bombers managed two runs and took the lead for the final stretch.
Sage Holderfield took the L for the Hoppers, pitching seven and two-thirds innings, allowing three hits and two runs. The low scoring game was basically a pitching battle between Holderfield and Bomber Frankel.
The Hoppers managed to get on the board in the top of the 8th after Ran Traylor sent a sacrifice fly to center field, driving in the one Hopper run of the night from Cord Johnson.
