The reigning OVL Champions have acquired their schedule for the 2021 summer baseball season. The 44-game slate features 22 home and 22 road contests. Mondays are designated as open dates, unless rain makeups become necessary. This year, the Hoppers will take the diamond at Christian County High School for all home games, with first pitch slotted at 6:30 pm CDT unless otherwise announced.

The Hoppers, under the direction of new Head Coach Brett Lindsey, open the season with a two-game homestand on June 4-5. Hoptown hosts the OVL’s newest club, Full County Rhythm, on Friday night in the season opener. They welcome the Paducah Chiefs on Saturday night before traveling to the Fulton Railroaders for a Sunday road contest to wrap up opening weekend. The Hoppers will play six of their first nine games at home.

The schedule has the Hoppers playing at home in six two-game homestands with a three-game and one four-game road swing in June. Coach Brett Lindsey’s team will be at home in four Friday night games in June. Fans attending the Hoppers match against Paducah on 4th of July will have a perfect view of the Hopkinsville city firework display at Ruff Park following the game. The Sunday night contest will begin 30 minutes early at 6:00 to accommodate the anticipated 9:15 pyrotechnics.

The regular season runs from June 4—July 27, with the Hoppers wrapping up regular season play at home against the Franklin Duelers. The Hoppers will attempt to repeat as OVL tournament champions with the playoffs getting underway on July 29th.

For 2021, the OVL has a pair of balanced five-team Divisions with the addition of the Full Count Rhythm (Hendersonville, TN), the first Tennessee club to join the OVL. The Hopper compete in the South Division, along with the Franklin (KY) Duelers, Full Count (TN) Rhythm), Fulton (KY) Railroaders, and the Paducah (KY) Chiefs. The North Division is made up of the DuBois Co. (IN) Bombers, Henderson (KY) Flash, Madisonville (KY) Miners, Muhlenberg Co. (KY) Stallions, and the Owensboro (KY) Riverdawgs.
