This week’s roster additions come to us recommended by a former Hoppers’ coach, Trey Porras.
Joe De Fina, OF, University of New Mexico: Coach Moss said, “Joe is another guy coming from New Mexico, so he knows what being around a great program looks like. He is a physical left-handed hitter that could be a big part of the top of our lineup. He has a short compact stroke that is repeatable and he can just flat out hit. The staff is really excited about the offensive potential that Joe can bring to our lineup.” Twitter: @defina_joe
Cole Cummings, INF, University of New Mexico University: Coach Moss said, “Cole is another left-handed hitter on the roster and along with DeFina comes from one of the more storied programs in the country, New Mexico. He is a guy who will bring high energy. He has a presence and attacks the game. Cole has a slick glove and is a smooth defender at a premium position, shortstop.” Twitter: @ccummings_4
